Advent Week 3

On Sunday night we had a great worship gathering as part of our current Advent series. This was week 3 of Advent and we engaged the topic of “celebration.” Good times.

    My kids (ages 4 & 6) really engaged with the communion/feast. I was surprised at how well they were able to connect with the event. On our way home we had a very “deep” conversation about the feast. My oldest said that “it was like being able to eat with Jesus.” When my youngest was asked “why do you think we had the feast?” he responded “To help us remember that God is our friend.” They also thought we should leave an empty chair for Jesus next time. They said a lot of other things that are fading in my memory now, I wish I had a tape recorder on for that trip home.
